Jesus Saves, 9th & Broadway, Downtown Los Angeles, CA

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE knows the Jesus Saves sign in the car park behind the Ace Hotel (which has since closed). As I was photographing it from every angle possible I started to wonder, what if Jesus was on Twitter (the app’s name, back when I painted this) – would he be fave-ing instead of saving? For the record, this atheist adores this huge neon sign. Just not the message.
